Our Story — Redeemed & Free

My name is Kristina, and Redeemed & Free was born from a place I once thought I’d never escape.

For many years, I was an addicted mom and wife who was harming myself and everyone around me. My husband, my family, my friends — they begged me to get help more times than I can count. But addiction had taken everything from me: my hope, my identity, my motherhood, my faith.

It took a near-death car accident, jail, an overdose, and the reality of facing years in prison for me to finally see the truth:
I had hit my bottom. And it was dark.
And trust me — it did not look pretty.

But somewhere in that darkness, God placed a tiny spark of willingness in me. I finally whispered the words I had avoided for years: “I need help.”

With the unwavering love of my husband and family, I began a 12-step program. I surrounded myself with strong, grace-filled women who held me up when I couldn’t stand on my own. They believed in me long before I could believe in myself. Through their support, and through my growing relationship with my Higher Power — I found my way back to Christ, and back to life.

Slowly, miracles unfolded.

I rebuilt a relationship with my daughter.
My son has never had to grow up with a drunk, high, or absent mother.
My husband found his own healing through a 12-step family program, learning how to release anger, forgive, and rebuild with me.

Together we learned not to live in the past, not to parent out of guilt, and not to carry shame into the future. Instead, we learned how to be present — truly present — as a family. The bond we have today cannot be measured.

A woman once told me, “If I had asked God for everything I thought I wanted when I first got sober, I would have sold myself short.” She was right. Because today my life is filled with joy, serenity, and blessings I never thought possible — the kind of peace that surpasses all understanding.

But life changed again in 2025.
I was diagnosed with a rare nerve disorder that dramatically altered my daily life. For months, I grieved the life I used to have. At 41, approaching 8 years of sobriety, I suddenly found myself homebound, limited, and facing a new kind of uncertainty.

But here’s the thing recovery taught me:
I always have a choice.
And every day, I can choose joy.

As I worked through this new chapter, I knew I still needed to be of service. Even when I can’t always leave my house, I can still lift others up. I can still spread hope. I can still share the miracle that transformed my life.

And that is where Redeemed & Free was born.

This brand is my way of leaving a mark — for my children, my husband, and anyone still suffering the way I once did. It is my way of staying connected, creating with purpose, and sharing joy with the world, even when my body limits me.

Every design is created with intention.
Every message is rooted in faith, recovery, and love.
Every product is a reminder that redemption is real, freedom is possible, and joy is a choice — every single day.

My hope is that Redeemed & Free brings encouragement, light, and hope to people everywhere.
